Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2007

The New Contemporaries always provides a great opportunity for the public to see a rich and dynamic selection of work by an emerging generation of artists. As an annual event first established over fifty years ago, New Contemporaries is recognised as a crucial platform for new work and many of the UK’s most well known artists first appeared in the show.

Amongst artists in this year’s exhibition currently on show at The New Art Gallery Wallsall are Elgin-based Mary Ferguson, London-based Dido Hallett and Adam Holmes-Davies – a contributor to our Future space inquiry in 2005 – and Hannah James from Bristol. Work selected for New Contemporaries spans a wide range of .interests and perspectives and offers a cross-section of some of the most exciting work to come out of current art school practice.

Also showing are Steve Bishop, Sarah Bowker-Jones, Rhys Coren, Lucy Coggle, Charlie Crane, David Fletcher, Katarina Forss, Alistair Frost, Gabriel Hartley, Alexander Heim, Laurie Hill, Margot Hill, Luke Jackson, Jackson Webb, Heike Kabisch, Maria-Brigita Karantzi, Camilla Kesterton, Penny Klepuszewska, Ian Larson, Francisco Lobo, Fiona Mackay, Amy Grace McDonough, Janine McLellan, Andrew Mealor, James Nelson, Jack Newling, Gemma Pardo, Daniel Pasteiner, James Ryan, Charlie Tweed, Tom Walker, Gesche WÜrfel, Yohei Yashi.
