Visual art exhibitions and events with a platform for critical writing
By: The Regional Print Centre at Yale Wrexham
We were given an envelope containing a piece of paper 10x15 cms. This was sent around the group and worked on. You received a new print every couple of weeks. The project will shortly come to an end with an exhibition at the Gateway Arts Centre in Shrewsbury from 2/6/08-28/6/08 and at the Durber Gallery, NEWI, Wrexham in September 2008.

It's true that I am more concerned with ruining someone elses print than what happens to mine. The envelopes are taking on an art form of their own and are telling a tale of their travels. Have received the latest one from Steffan which could be turned into a book! Watch this space. JB

The Robin's flown the nest.....managed to escape! I'm sorry I had him for such a long time.......not going to show you what has happened to him.......you'll have to wait and see when he arrives on your doorstep. He has taken on a different persona though. Watch this space...

hi
this postcard started with Linda Davies and I have added to the bottom corner ( a little tentative I know but I wanted to leave plenty of room for everyone else)

oo i had forgotton what my print looked like, thanks for posting that heather, i wonder if there will be anything left of the leaves when i see it next? i find it interesting that everyone seems less concerned with letting go of their work and more worried that they might ruin someone elses ;-) N

There were some leaves that came from another print and set off alone.

The Jester is somewhere out there. He set out holding a frame waiting for someone to make something of him. Will he be revealed or concealed for ever?

I got two prints through yesterday and i've just sent one off to jan.
I found the image so beautiful as it was that it was hard to know what to do with it. I decided to scan and photocopy and tried to create variations on the image, i have included all of these variations in my letter to jan.
The second image was easier to work with in some ways but i've kept it for a while to think about it. also i thought jan would like a bit of time between images. i have found that the best way to tackle this project is to set to work immediately on the postcard as soon as it comes, so that i can actually strike while the iron is hot.
I know some people are still waiting for an image to come through. Nichola still hasn't got one. I'm on my fourth!!!
