Visual art exhibitions and events with a platform for critical writing
Rather than favouring the more usual East end locations of similar galleries, Artprojx Space occupies the rarefied air of Knightsbridge. Its location, just down the road from Harrods places it in the heart of the high end retail therapy district, a theme which is reflected in its inaugural show The Dadadandy Boutique.
Dadadandy is a collaboration between artist-curators Simon Moretti and Paul Heber-Percy. For this project they have created an installation which mixes the language of the retail environment with the domestic and the theatrical, featuring works by artists who include Francis Upritchard, John Stezaker and Marc Camille Chaimowicz.
The space also provides a home for the Artprojx Artists Film Club which is showing compliations of artists films daily. Also watch out for an appearance by the Plastique Fantastique towards the end of the month.
