Visual art exhibitions and events with a platform for critical writing
May seems to be the time of year when artists tidy up their workspaces, put the kettle on and invite the general public in to come have a look around.
Many artists' studio organisations are planning specially curated events and exhibitions to accompany their open studios.
Studios open this month include Art Space in Portsmouth, Crouch End Studios in London, Ridgeway Studios in Berkshire, North Yorkshire Studios and York Place Studios in Brighton.
