My work is a commentary on modern society. I am currently working on a project that I have entitled 'facebook generation'. Through my own facebook group of the same name I recieve photographs of peoples' nights out, which I then turn into paintings. My inspiration for this project has been the 19th century writer Charles Baudelaire who in his book 'the painter of modern life...' he writes of capturing the essence of modern society, to 'distil the eternal from the transitory.' My work is an up to date re-working of his timeless idea.
