An independent artists' collective based in Glasgow who choose to work together collaboratively under a collective group identity, with the aims of producing a body of continuing work, and critical space within contemporary fine art through dialogue, discussion and argument. It has developed its working practice considerably since the group's inception. Membership of Something Haptic has also refused to remain static as individuals (all of whom also maintain their own artistic practices) move in and out of centre stage as commitments dictate. The group maintains a sculptural gallery practice through which it exhibits single pieces with a shared collective authorship on a local, national, and international level. Through its sister publishing house, Trajectory, Something Haptic have also curated and published the work of a growing number of artists and writers and the ongoing essay series Number, in which artists and writers are encouraged to submit short essays for distribution.
